Intrepid pilots - all good things come to an end, even to the immortal Valkyries. Today, we have begun the process of discontinuing support for EVE: Valkyrie to focus CCP Games' efforts and resources on new developments in our evolving portfolio of EVE Universe titles.
We are incredibly proud of what we accomplished with EVE: Valkyrie and its Warzone expansion and want to extend our deep appreciation to all our players for their support throughout the game's lifecycle. It is an honor to have been a part of such a dedicated community.
For the time being, you won't see any effect if you own a copy of the game. The game will continue to be playable with our servers remaining active until August 5th 2022.
On August 5th 2022, EVE: Valkyrie's servers will be turned off, social media profiles will be closed, and this website will go offline. Once servers are deactivated, customer support for EVE: Valkyrie will no longer be provided.
Thank you for being a part of EVE: Valkyrie. We look forward to the next chapter in the EVE Universe and hope you'll be a part of it and continue the journey with us.
It was from the no-holds-barred, frantic chaos of Wormhole gameplay that the seed of Extraction was sewn. A high intensity, clutch play, edge of your seat battle that caused screams and cries across the Valkyrie office during our internal playtests.
Ultras are a feature in Warzone that allow players to unleash a powerful offensive, defensive or tactical ability. These are typically a ship’s most characteristic ability, with each Ultra ability being specific to a ship. For example, when the Nagi’s “Radiant Burst” Ultra is used, it sends out a pulse that repairs the hull of any friendly ship in range
Warzone introduces a whole new fleet of next-generation ships, so we wanted to make sure each ship had a meaningful progression tree that players could invest in. Each new ship has a unique role and an upgrade tree designed to let you tweak the ship to your play style. This is done by unlocking and equipping mods, then applying them to your ships. Mods are unlocked with XP, letting you customize the ships as you use them in battle.
You’re all used to finding your way to the surface at the deep end by now! A big part of keeping it fresh and exciting is the introduction of new maps, and EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone delivers big in that respect.
EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone Game Designer CCP Groot takes us behind the scenes on the creation of the new fleet of ships arriving in EVE: Valkyrie- Warzone
In addition to all the other amazing changes in today’s [2017_R3] update, we’ve worked with NVIDIA to take PC virtual reality game visuals to a new level with EVE: Valkyrie’s “Ultra” graphics setting.
Ever wondered how Valkyrie’s aural experience has developed over time since the project first left the drawing board? We speak to CCP Newcastle Audio Lead, Jonathan McCavish aka CCP Noise, to take us right back to the basics and give us the whole story on the game’s soundscape.
We thought it was high time we found out a little more about where EVE: Valkyrie's Wormholes Mode came from and what goes into delivering a unique experience week after week. We caught up with Associate Producer on EVE: Valkyrie, John Nejady - aka CCP Bosun - to get his thoughts on virtual reality and to find out how the team at CCP Newcastle approached the challenge of creating an epic space dogfighting VR game to life that is both thrilling and comfortable for the players.
Let’s face it, a Valkyrie pilot without a ship is like a plumber without a wrench… useless. Thankfully, we have people like Chung Wong, member of CCP's Newcastle development team and designer extraordinaire of space craft.
We are thrilled to announce, as part of the Wormholes update, a significant and substantial new feature for EVE: Valkyrie… Leagues. It’s our goal to constantly improve EVE: Valkyrie’s competitive experience, so join us for a few moments as we take you through this exciting new development.
Wormholes are special events offering you a portal into the unknown. Pilots brave enough to enter will find things have all gone a little bit, different, as rips in reality have brought about some unusual changes to the world of Valkyrie.
Any artistic endeavour, any work of literature, music, theatre or film starts in the same place. With empty space. A clean white sheet of paper or a blank screen on which the enviably creative people of this world are able write a word, place a mark, drag a single line of ink in an intriguing arc and from that conjure up rich and wonderful worlds full of adventure, intrigue, beauty, horror… and it’s the same process that lies behind the creation of our favourite games.
It’s barely 48 hours since the launch of EVE: Valkyrie’s Gatecrash update but already the new Gateway map is proving to be a fascinating place to inhabit. We spoke to Lead Game Designer Andy Willans, aka CCP Roo to find out more about Gateway and the ways in which players might best use its features .
Just because you’re tucked into the claustrophobic cockpit of a spaceship doesn’t mean you can’t rock a good look. To that end we’ve given you the opportunity, via today’s Gatecrash update, to customize your pilot’s appearance.
As any avid online gamer will tell you, the success or failure of any multiplayer shooter is, in large part, down to the strength of its map design. We caught up with level designer at CCP Newcastle, Emily Knox (AKA CCP Starbug), to ask her a bit about her craft and what it takes to make space an exciting place to visit.

Forget December and all that fat-guy-in-a-red-suit nonsense. For EVE: Valkyrie pilots, at least, Christmas starts on October 7. CCP Games has lined up its biggest and meatiest free update yet: it’s called ’Joint Strike’. And remember, this is just days before a huge influx of new rookie pilots fly in on October 13 — thanks to the release of EVE: Valkyrie on PlayStation VR. In fact forget Christmas, this is EVE-ageddon!
I’m CCP Starbug and I’d like to tell you a bit about the addition of the Test Arena into EVE: Valkyrie - a feature we have created to help ease new players into our game, thanks to pilot feedback on our forums. Entering multiplayer combat for the first time can be a daunting experience, whether you’re a new pilot learning the ropes, or you’ve acquired a different ship and want to see how it fares in flight and combat. Whatever the case, it’s handy to have a safe space to do a test flight without any pressure.
It’s with great pleasure that we can now introduce you to the Com Alerts feature coming in the Joint Strike update! Com Alerts is a brand new system that allows pilots to quickly send messages to their teammates. These messages allow you to notify your teammates of what you are doing, what you’re planning next, or what you want your teammates to do.
Through the Valkyrie project one of our design pillars has been that immersion in virtual reality is about more than just the technology: It’s about crafting a believable world for you, the pilot, to live and fight inside. Creating a bubble where the visuals, audio and lore blend together into a tactile cockpit that feels like you can reach out and touch it, putting you squarely in the centre of this epic conflict.
Daily Challenges are goals, tasks or challenges that pilots will receive when they log in to EVE: Valkyrie. There are a variety on offer that provide different rewards when completed. Challenges can reward you with Visk, XP or Salvage, and some even grant you multiple rewards upon completion.

A message from EVE: Valkyrie Executive Producer Owen O'Brien. It's been nearly three years since I first tried on a modern VR headset and since then I've never looked back. Well actually that's completely untrue. Since then I've never looked back more, or up or down. It's changed the way I look at and indeed play games.
In January, we decided to test our Alpha players with a 'Battle the Devs' event and we were overwhelmed with the response, so I’m excited to say we brought back the event in February, bigger and better than ever. Battle the Devs II commenced on the 24 February 18:00 GMT.
