Intrepid pilots - all good things come to an end, even to the immortal Valkyries. Today, we have begun the process of discontinuing support for EVE: Valkyrie to focus CCP Games' efforts and resources on new developments in our evolving portfolio of EVE Universe titles.
We are incredibly proud of what we accomplished with EVE: Valkyrie and its Warzone expansion and want to extend our deep appreciation to all our players for their support throughout the game's lifecycle. It is an honor to have been a part of such a dedicated community.
For the time being, you won't see any effect if you own a copy of the game. The game will continue to be playable with our servers remaining active until August 5th 2022.
On August 5th 2022, EVE: Valkyrie's servers will be turned off, social media profiles will be closed, and this website will go offline. Once servers are deactivated, customer support for EVE: Valkyrie will no longer be provided.
Thank you for being a part of EVE: Valkyrie. We look forward to the next chapter in the EVE Universe and hope you'll be a part of it and continue the journey with us.
Festive greetings, pilots! Sit back with a mince pie as we take this year's last look at what's going on in the world of EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone.
In celebration of the holiday season. The streamers of the Valkyrie community and EVE Online’s Streamfleet will team up to put on a show to once again raise funds for this noble organization. This time around, however, we will take it to the next level. Not only will we incorporate the wacky requests. But we will be putting to the test the brand new features of custom matches and spectator mode released in the Winter Update!
It gives us great pleasure to introduce… our Winter Update! The dev team here at Newcastle have been busy creating a range of incredible new features that truly put the power in the hands of the community. We always try to cram our game updates chock-full of content, and this one is no exception. You will find the usual bullet point barrage of awesome new stuff below, with some links to expanded articles in case you want full details on all the good stuff.
In today's EVEValkyrie - Warzone Winter Update, tobiig aming support allows players to feel the benefits of VR head tracking on a flatscreen monitor.
Everyone has their own favorite game mode and map in EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone, but the game's map and mode rotation system means that you can’t always get what you want. While it's no great hardship to play a game of Team Deathmatch in Crossroads when you really had your heart set on heading to Solitude for a bit of Extraction, we're sure that you've often wished that you had a little control over what you get to play and where.
You've been demanding it for a long time, and we've been listening. As soon as the new Winter Update touches down you'll discover a whole new way to enjoy EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone, and that's Spectator Mode.
So then, pilots, there's no hiding the fact that it's interesting times in the world of EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone right now. But you know what? We've been completely overwhelmed by all of the support that's been flooding in from the community, not just online but in the real world as well, so we reckon it’s high time we gave you a bit of an update.
Recently, over on the Valkyrie forums, there was some debate around Aim Assist leading to lots of theories and healthy dose of player feedback. Given this level of interest, we thought it best to explain the mechanics at play during our all-out space dogfighting action more deeply in a blog post.
Greetings, pilots! It's time for your monthly briefing on what's been happening in the world of EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone. It's been a busy few weeks, so let's cut straight to the chase; here's what's been going down.
To celebrate our new HOTAS support, we teamed up with Overclockers UK and Logitech G for an EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone and Flight Control System giveaway!
It’s Halloween coming up, and in keeping with last years amazing creations of EVE: Valkyrie Halloween decorations and tasty spooky treats, the doors are once again open to see what kind of amazing halloween creations you guys can make.
In-line with community feedback, this patch adds support for some highly requested features, including 21:9 Widescreen support as well as NVIDIA Surround Support.
As the Valkyrie continue to explore abandoned Drifter outposts, delivering their buried Relics to the Quartermaster, this haunted bounty has come at a terrible cost. Clones have become infected with a deadly disease, losing their humanity and driving them towards a singular goal: spreading the infection. Pilots must do all they can to survive, as death will certainly mean reanimating in an infected Clone. You cannot hide forever, though, as pilots will need to maintain a regular supply of Antidote to keep their current Clone free from the disease.
It's easy to start getting extra social joy out of EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone – here's our quick guide to all the places where you can meet some space friends.
Tune in to Twitch today to watch your favorite streamers launch into the thrill of EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone's combat.
Today we’re releasing another small patch containing some key improvements for Valkyrie that the community has highlighted to us, including updates to input customisation and improvements to AI behaviour, PvP matchmaking, as well all-important bug fixes.
In case you missed our incredible reveals at EVE Vegas over the weekend, check out this rough roadmap with some of the new features coming to EVE: Valkyrie Warzone before the end of the year (…and hopefully even sooner than that). Lead Game Designer Andrew Willans took to the stage to talk about EVE: Valkyrie’s past and most importantly, it’s future.
In case it had slipped your notice, the mighty EVE Vegas 2017 event is underway at the Linq this weekend and while a lot of the glitz and glamor surrounds EVE Online, there are some pretty awesome EVE: Valkyrie things happening too.
This year, the international event World Space Week has chosen the theme of ‘Exploring New Worlds In Space’, so we thought it would be awesome and fitting to run an event in EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone which allows players to explore some new aspects of the game, whilst also bringing attention to World Space Week.
First and foremost, we would like to offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to the families and friends of those lost during this senseless act of violence, and wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected.
It's our first weekend of Warzone and there's a ton of fun stuff lined up. Dive deep into a very special Wormhole event and climb the ranks in style with Double XP all weekend. Welcome to the Weekend Warzone.
It started out in VR, but now EVE: Valkyrie has been reborn as the ultimate cross-platform, cross-reality first-person space shooter. No longer do you need an Oculus Rift, Vive or PSVR to take part in epic online space battles; as long as you have a PC or PS4 then EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone is ready and waiting for you to climb into the cockpit.
EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone's about to launch, and we have a whole load of amazing stuff lined up for you to make the event even more special. Here's what's coming up this week.
To celebrate the Warzone launch and to welcome a new generation of Pilots to the fold, we're excited to announce the EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone Launch Bundle. Availble on PS4 or Steam until October 24th - the Launch Bundle retails for USD $29.99SRP and includes the Drifter Pack at no additional cost.
For those of you who are new to New Eden, EVE Vegas is a massive EVE Online player gathering in Las Vegas. This year, EVE Vegas is takes place shortly after the launch of EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone. We’ll be sending a few brave Valkyrie, CCP Roo, CCP Bosun and CCP Redcape, to show and tell you about the Warzone expansion.
There's not long to go now until CCP Starbug (Emily Knox) and CCP Bosun (John Nejady), hopefully recovered from their tour of duty on the Twitch stage at Gamescom, lace up their trainers to do the Great North Run to raise money for SpecialEffect
Welcome back, pilots. It's been quite a few weeks in New Eden, hasn't it? And there's plenty more to come as we build up to the release of EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone on 26 September; here's what's been happening and what's lined up.
As well as CCP Starbug and CCP Bosun, EVE: Valkyrie lead designer Andrew Willans (AKA CCP Roo) is going to be on the Twitch stage for the next three days, and each day he'll be talking us through an exciting new part of the EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone expansion. Don't miss out on a thing: head to the Gamescom Twitch stream at the times below to get the latest info and updates straight from the developer's mouth, not to mention the hottest takes from some of Twitch's finest personalities.
EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone is coming on 26th September, and between now and then we'll be revealing everything you need to know about it. Here's what's coming up.
With a major expansion such as EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone on the way, you might feel your gaming PC needs an upgrade to mark the occasion, and we have just the opportunity for you. We've teamed up with Noble Chairs, Caseking and Overclockers UK for an EVE: Valkyrie Warzone giveaway that'll see one lucky pilot kitted out with a PC bundle that'll have your opponents gasping in admiration.
Attention pilots! Change is coming to EVE: Valkyrie and it's time to bring you up to speed on some major developments touching down soon. So buckle up and get ready.
We've been working hard to include Oculus Touch support to EVE: Valkyrie, and it's now available for you to try as a work-in-progress beta. Read on to find out what this means.
Welcome, pilots! It's time for your monthly round up of all the latest from New Eden and hot bulletins from EVE: Valkyrie community. If you want to know what's going down and what's coming up, read on.
Last week it was all about the salvage, today we reveal where you can find all the Echoes in Scout Mode. By listening to the Echoes, you can find out about the events leading up to your arrival in New Eden.
Spoiler alert! What follows is a comprehensive guide to EVE: Valkyrie’s Scout Mode and all the delicious salvage contained therein. Seven maps. Seven bits of salvage on each. It’s basically an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the game’s maps and bag a bit of booty along the way.
We’ve seen a multitude of different media and a creative outpouring from the community over the past few weeks. If it’s storytelling, crafts or something more musical there’s always a way to put your skills out there, indulge your creative side and explore your passion for the world of EVE: Valkyrie.
Quality time with the family will have to be rain-checked this weekend, because EVE: Valkyrie’s latest weekly wormhole event is a doozy, and for regular wormhole participants it will be a pleasantly familiar experience.
Today, Wednesday, July 12, we have made a patch available to EVE: Valkyrie players [2017_R3] that introduce a raft of balance changes designed to make your combat experience better than ever. We’ve done this using internal data, personal experience and, crucially, community feedback.
Hello pilots. How are ya doing? We’ve been watching you. Not in a creepy, stalker-y way, but watching what you’ve been up to in the galaxy, looking on, in awe, at your spectacular achievements. And we need to share.
Welcome pilots! This is the first in a brand new monthly round up of the best stuff that’s happening in New Eden and the EVE: Valkyrie community. Read on to discover what’s going down and how to get involved.
One of the great joys of flying support (apart from helping out your fellow flyers) is having mines at your disposal. When you get a support ship with proximity triggered mines, a whole new world of sneaky tactics opens up to you.
We keep sticking them up, you keep knocking them down. The ever-popular Wormholes have been entertaining us for months now so we thought we’d begin to bring you a monthly roundup of all the action so that existing pilots can reminisce, and rookie pilots can get a taste of what they're missing out on.
There are definitely many more than five reasons to sign up to the EVE: Valkyrie forums, but we like to run a tight ship here so we’ll keep it relatively brief. And besides, when the reading is over, there’s dogfighting to be done, so let’s crack on.
While Wormholes are normally highly deadly affairs, for an hour several talented Pilots from the Valkyrie community downed their weapons and flew together in formation. We interview it's organiser to find out more...
Last week we celebrated a year of EVE: Valkyrie’s Carrier Assault mode with an entire day of bringing down supercarriers in spectacular fashion and as expected, it was a blast. We wanted to take a quick look at what went down over the course of last week.
Nicknames can be a blessing and a curse. You never quite know what you’re going to end up with. Fortunately, for Valkyrie pilots, the acquiring of a nickname is much less of a lottery thanks to the fact that we can choose our own.
Welcome to the third and final guide in our Carrier Assault series, celebrating a year of EVE: Valkyrie’s greatest play mode. It’s the turn of the Supports and you guessed it, we have ace Support pilot Anska on hand to deliver the definitive guide to flying the healers.
A new wormhole event has occurred in the Lonetrek region of the galaxy. As you know, this busy region is a major industrial center for the Caldari State and as such, it is of great strategic importance.
With the anniversary of Carrier Assault having just happened, this is the perfect time to take a look at this mode from a Heavy class viewpoint. We enlisted the mighty battling brain of ace Heavy pilot Nydwen to deliver the ultimate guide to mastering Carrier Assault.
It’s seems only right that when talking about everyone’s favorite EVE: Valkyrie play mode, we should turn to the galaxy’s favorite ace fighter pilot General Stargazer for advice. Take it away, General.
Today’s the day! It’s exactly a year ago today the EVE: Valkyrie’s Carrier Assault Mode was launched, and true to our word, we’re going to celebrate it in some considerable style.
In previous articles, we’ve discussed how to handle fighters and support craft in a TDM, but when engaged in a schoolyard scrap, it’s always good to have some muscle on your side. Let’s take a look at the role of the heavies.
It’s coming up to a year since EVE: Valkyrie’s Carrier Assault mode was introduced, so we thought it might be fun to mark the moment with a few celebratory events.
The Genesis region of Amarr Empire space has come under threat by a Schism assault, intended to strategically exploit the latest wormhole phenomenon that has opened up there. Pilots reporting back have described a corrupted version of the area we know as Crossroads, near the planet Otakoo XI.
Most of us pilots know about the complicated relationship between Rán Kavik and Fatal, leader of the Valkyrie and Schism boss res Kavik and Fatal, leader of the Valkyrie and Schism boss respectively. What we want to know is your individual story.
It’s time to visit the wonderful world of EVE: Valkyrie streamers and their video-making antics. We’ve seen some amazing vids in this past month, so let’s waste no more time and crack straight on with sharing a few of our favorites with you.
You know that moment when you’re low on armor, on your last legs, and you inadvertently fly into a cloud of the enemy’s Spiderbots? It normally ends in a humiliating death by freezing. Occasionally, though, quite by chance, the Spiderbots break through your cockpit window and seemingly attach themselves to your face in a quite alarming fashion.
We have a critical situation developing in the region known as the Bleak Lands, in close proximity to planet Kamela VIII. Bleak Lands is a small but strategically important part of the Amarr Empire. As such, we must defend it at all costs.
Greetings fellow clones. Today, we’re talking about the games that first launched us on the journey that has culminated in us joining the outlaw band of space pirates we know as the EVE: Valkyrie community.
Listen up, pilots. If you have a friend or relative who hasn’t yet joined the ranks of the Valkyrie, you need to let them know that there’s never been a better time to do so.
Continuing our series of mini guides on EVE: Valkyrie’s play modes, this time it’s the turn of the support pilots in Team Deathmatch mode. It will come as no surprise to you to learn that we’ve enlisted the help of renowned pilot and regular Valkyrie community contributor Anska, who will pass on her words of wisdom to any would-be medics out there.
CCP Games is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this weekend and in a way, EVE: Valkyrie is the culmination of those two decades of success, so this weekend we will be kicking back at the Crow’s Nest in order to celebrate our part in this remarkable story. Here are a few reasons for Valkyrie pilots, in particular, to mark the event.
Wormhole event 45B/225-51JP5 has opened up near planet TQ-RRB VII in the Outer Ring region of the galaxy. Beyond the conduit, pilots are reporting a corrupted version of the Forge area that has come to be known as Fire Forge. Fatal’s Schism forces have amassed on the site with the strategic aim of using it to their advantage to secure that region of space once and for all. We must not let that happen.
You know that sinking feeling you get in your stomach when you realize all your buddies have had a great time at a party that, for some reason, you weren’t invited to? For PSVR Valkyrie pilots this is not a feeling you'll need to worry about, just as long as you know about the PlayStation Events Calendar.
This coming weekend marks the 20th Anniversary of CCP Games and we think that’s something worth celebrating. As part of the festivities we are setting up one of our Double XP Weekend events.
Greetings rookies. We trust you are settling in well in your new role as a Valkyrie pilot? You'll do well to remember that no amount of virtual training exercises or the scouting of maps can prepare you for the intensity of a real battle against live opponents... and so we are here to help.
Sometimes, the only correct response to the crazy things going on around you is to go in hard and fast. To heck with the consequences. Here are five situations in which it’s perfectly acceptable to take a gung-ho approach.
We have a major situation developing in the Bleak Lands around planet Kamela VIII. A new wormhole has opened up; reports from pilots that have made it back outline uniquely hazardous conditions. On the other side of the conduit, the Valkyrie have been experiencing a grotesquely distorted version of the area we normally refer to as the Cathedral.
The sun is shining outside the CCP bunker, but there have been no lazy, hazy picnics in the park for us. We’ve been way too busy enjoying all the amazing content our Valkyrie community has been posting on the world wide interwebs. There’s been so much good stuff lately that we thought we’d share a few of the highlights with you.
Rookie pilots who have been paying attention this past week will have already checked out our guides to taking on a Control Match in heavy and support class ships. Now we turn our attention to the perennial favorite, the fighter.
We’ve already learned how to handle a Control Match in a heavy, thanks to Nydwen’s recently published play guide. Now it’s the turn of the support class. As usual, we turn to ace support pilot Anska to show us the way.
Last week we asked you, our beloved band of pirates, to tell us which of the recent weekly wormholes you would like to see return to your screens. You had the tricky choice of a Wraith battle, rainbow trails on Nightyard or friendly fire.
All Valkyrie pilots are ordered to immediately assemble at planet Otakoo XI in the Amarr-controlled Genesis region. A highly volatile wormhole (00B/285-55JR5) has opened up in the area known as Crossroads. This is not an unprecedented event. We have seen something similar before and we are assigning this corrupted alternate space the codename "Goldenroad".
Welcome to another of our mini masterclasses; compact play guides packed with 100% distilled wisdom from some of the best pilots in the galaxy. This time around we will be taking a look at the Control Mode and what our options are as a heavy pilot. So once again, we turn to our old friend and heavy class expert, Nydwen, to bring you all up to speed.
There’s a pretty fierce conflict going on out there in the galaxy. If you want to make your mark as a Valkyrie and cement your reputation as a dogfighting badass, you need to be prepared. Good news! We’ve got your back.
Whoa! Hold on a second. Don’t go calling the Guinness Book of World Records just yet. This is not an ‘official’ record. But, dayum, it’s a hell of an achievement. Cast your minds back to January this year and you may remember we ran a New Year Challenge in which we asked players to try and complete EVE: Valkyrie’s Carrier Assault mode as quickly as possible.
You gotta love our community for EVE: Valkyrie. Always coming up with new and ever more creative ways to celebrate their love of the game. In the past, we’ve seen Valkyrie-inspired food, fan art, dog tags, customized controllers and more. This time, the events in New Eden, and more specifically Wormholes, have inspired one talented pilot, SalsaKetchup, to playfully adapt the lyrics of a well-known musical number with some Valkyrie stylings.
Hello, fellow wormhole aficionados. How have you been enjoying life beyond the conduit, so far? We think you’ll agree that these first few months have been a blast. But which of the events that have happened so far is your favorite?
Attention pilots. There is some troubling activity occurring in the Sinq Laison region of New Eden, where wormhole event 50B/255-53JU5 has opened up. As you know, this region is located in Gallente Federation space, but acts as a central link to regions controlled by all interstellar factions. Its importance as a trade center cannot be underestimated.
We’ve talked about EVE_NT, the community EVE fansite, a number of times over the past year. However, if you’re new to EVE: Valkyrie, you may not have stumbled across it yet and discovered what it has to offer. EVE_NT is a great place to find out all about upcoming EVE Online and EVE: Valkyrie events, but one of its other standout features is the EVE_NT TV Twitch channel.
Have you just joined the ranks of the Valkyrie? Have you ignored all advice to the contrary and jumped straight into multiplayer battling? Just as we thought. Having done so, you probably only have a passing familiarity with Rán Kavik, leader of the Valkyrie, and Fatal, her nemesis and leader of the Schism. So let’s remedy that right here, right now, and take a look at these complex characters’ fascinating stories and how their opposing factions came to clash.
There’s so much cool stuff to pick up over at the Quartermaster’s place. If you’ve just joined the Valkyrie, here’s what the game’s jovial and enigmatic shopkeeper can offer you.
When we launched the weekly Wormhole Events a few months back, we kind of knew we were onto something pretty special, but the response from our pilots has been beyond all our expectations. Now, we want to hear from you directly about how we can take wormholes to the next level.
Flying around and shooting stuff is fun, and fairly straightforward, but to achieve success in New Eden, you need a certain amount of technical knowledge about the craft you are flying. With that in mind, we’ve decided to feature a series of mini guides focusing on individual aspects of the game and the equipment you’ll be using.
Assistance is urgently required at planet TQ-RRB VII in the Outer Ring region, where we are continuing to see dramatic and continued wormhole activity.
This year it’s the 20th birthday of CCP Games, the company that created EVE: Valkyrie and enabled all of us pilots to seek fame and fortune in a vast virtual galaxy. As CCP ramps up for the official anniversary on June 3rd, we couldn’t let such an important milestone go by without celebrating it in some way, so let’s take a look back at all the key developments over the past two decades and have a brief glimpse of what’s to come.
It’s fair to say that EVE: Valkyrie’s new Solitude map is unlike anything we’ve encountered previously. We’ve already examined how to approach this unforgiving location with the heavy and support class ships. Now, it’s the turn of the fighters.
We have some great news for our PC-based EVE Valkyrie pilots. The game now supports Valve’s Steam controller, so if that’s your gaming hardware of choice, you can now use it to explore New Eden without having to swap out different controllers.
That’s right pilots, we want to crack open your brainiums and take a good hard look at the grey matter contained therein, so we can see what makes you tick. The thing is, a Valkyrie pilot’s brain isn’t grey. It’s a fascinating riot of shimmering lights, as synapses fire off in response to the sights, sounds and perpetual peril of New Eden.
Valkyrie’s designers have populated the game’s maps with ships from EVE Online. If you’re an EVE Online player, this gives you a distinct advantage when asking fellow squad members to ‘group up at the Oracle’ or ‘need some help at Providence, folks’. The purpose of this article, then, is to provide a spotter’s guide to the scenery, for those EVE: Valkyrie pilots who haven’t had the pleasure of playing EVE Online. Get to know the EVE Online ships and you’ll be navigating New Eden like a boss.
Calling all pilots. You are directed to travel immediately to planet TQ-RRB VII in the Outer Ring region to investigate and report on the latest wormhole anomaly. It’s not the first time a wormhole has opened up in the Forge area but conditions this time around are decidedly more dangerous.
During your time battling in New Eden, and reading up about all things EVE: Valkyrie, you may have heard the unusual acronym HOTAS bandied around. But you can be forgiven for not knowing what a HOTAS is or why it’s of interest to Valkyrie pilots, because it’s not something that VR systems offer ‘out of the box’ as it were. So, let’s get hands-on with HOTAS.
A couple of days ago we picked up some top tips on how to take on the Solitude map in heavy class ships from ace pilot Nydwen. Now it’s the turn of the support class ships, and who better to give us the advice we need than super-skillful support pilot, Anska?
It’s no exaggeration to say that EVE: Valkyrie’s latest map, Solitude, has proven to be a hit with the players. Despite a propensity to repeatedly crash into the icy mountain terrain, this new planet-based environment has seen pilots revisiting Solitude again and again. We recruited ace pilot Nydwen to give us a crash course (pun intended) on handling the heavies on Solitude.
It’s been a crazy couple of weeks in the world of EVE: Valkyrie. First there was the annual madness that is EVE Fanfest, a massive event held in Reykjavik where EVE Online and Valkyrie fans meet to celebrate their love of New Eden. Following hot on the heels of that was the launch of Valkyrie’s latest free update, Groundrush, and more specifically the new Solitude map. It seems that this stunning new environment has gone down a storm with the players.
Those of us that attended this year’s Fanfest ended up with what has become known as ‘Space Flu’. But, by god, it was worth it, because the 2017 event was better than ever and made that bit more special by the fact it marked EVE: Valkyrie’s first birthday.
All pilots are to report to the Genesis region and planet Otakoo XI following the emergence of the latest wormhole event. Reports indicate that on the other side of the conduit, pilots have discovered a parallel region of space similar to that of the area known as Crossroads. We’re calling it Goldenroad - while it is in some ways familiar, it has been grotesquely distorted by enormous gravitational forces.
EVE: Valkyrie’s latest major free update, Groundrush, has been out in the wild for ten days now and it’s certainly got Valkyrie pilots and VR pundits the world over talking about it. The update introduced a raft of new features to the game, including a new planet-based map. There are new Wormholes maps, improvements to pilot training and an upgraded co-op mode enabling players to take on AI opponents on all three game types: Team Deathmatch, Control and Carrier Assault.
It's been a year since EVE: Valkyrie first launched (on March 26th, 2016, to be precise) and to celebrate, we recently asked our awesome community of players to get creative and make some fitting memorabilia to mark the event. As usual, they didn’t disappoint.
So many new pilots have joined the ranks of the Valkyrie since our Com Alerts feature debuted seven months ago. SInce there have been several player-led improvements to the system in the intervening time, we've decided it would be helpful to all our rookies to explain Com Alerts and why they are so crucial to successful squad-based play.
For the past 48 hours, we have been conducting operations in a new wormhole anomaly that has opened up near the planet Saranen in the Lonetrek region of New Eden. The wormhole – 40B/484-54JT6 – leads to a dark and twisted version of the Shipyard structure. Due to its nature, we have dubbed the area the Nightyard.
It can’t have escaped anyone’s notice that a certain celebration is occurring this weekend. Now, the Valkyrie are made up of all manner of believers and non-believers alike, but we can all agree that this weekend is probably the best time to celebrate the contribution that this particular festival has made to video gaming… namely, Easter eggs!
Still getting the hang of life as a Valkyrie? A little worried about going up against the big boys? Fear not! EVE: Valkyrie features a broad range of options when it comes to getting you battle ready.
Greetings, young Valkyrie. Once again, we are going to bring you up to speed on a particular aspect of piloting life and this time the subject is the use of mines and spiderbots.
What a time to be alive. Today, the Valkyrie leave the cold, unforgiving vacuum of space for the less cold – but possibly even more unforgiving – surface of a planet. That’s right, we’re taking the fight to terra firma.
You already know about the new Solitude map and wonderful wormhole developments. Our Groundrush update offers a whole lot more beside. Let's hand over to CCP TerrorShark to inform us of all the other goodies coming our way tomorrow.
You have less than 24 hours to investigate the latest wormhole event. Wormhole 01A/269-52LK5 is located in the Outer Ring region close to planet TQ-RRB VII. On the other side of the conduit, you will encounter a corrupted version of the Forge mining facility that has come to be known as the Iceforge.
Have you checked out yesterday’s big Groundrush reveal yet? Of course you have. And now, like us, you’re probably on tenterhooks waiting for EVE: Valkyrie’s fifth major free update to go live. So, to fill in the time while you’re waiting, allow us to tell you a little bit more about the Solitude map and where it sits in the EVE: Valkyrie story.
Hi pilots, it’s me - your friendly neighborhood level designer CCP Starbug here. I’m particularly excited for this update as I have the honor of introducing perhaps our most ambitious and radically different map to date, ‘Solitude’. There’s also more new maps and modes to fly in our upcoming Wormholes, as well as the addition of official Steam Controller support and some changes to Co-Op gameplay that we think will really improve this feature.
EVE: Valkyrie’s fifth major free update, Groundrush, has been announced live today at EVE: Fanfest 2017 and boy, it really is going to be a rush. It introduces the game’s first ever surface based map and as such it will be unlike anything you’ve experienced before.
Believe it or not, it’s been four years since EVE: Valkyrie first made its mark at EVE Fanfest. While we’re celebrating Valkyrie’s first birthday out in the wild – it launched on Oculus Rift in March 2016 – it’s worth remembering that the road to immersive combat in New Eden has been a twisting and turning one, but always fascinating and exciting. With Fanfest 2017 opening tomorrow, we thought you might like to take a nostalgic look back at how Valkyrie became part of the EVE family and the annual Fanfest extravaganza.
Are you careful with your money? Do you look after the pennies so that the pounds can look after themselves? Do you get nervous when having to lay down the folding stuff? Are you, then (and this is the terrible pun we’ve been building up to), slightly ‘Visk* averse’? In that case, we have good news to share with PlayStation VR gamers.
In our ongoing pursuit of making your Valkyrie life easier (though not, we hasten to add, when it comes to battling in-game) we'd like to introduce you to the new Roadmap section of our website...
It’s less than a week until the mighty EVE Fanfest 2017 event kicks off and to say we’re totally pumped about it would be an understatement. There’s a whole bunch of stuff for EVE: Valkyrie fans to look forward to, so here’s a rundown of what you should be doing with your time in Reykjavik.
As we get ever closer to Fanfest 2017, more details of the event continue to emerge. We are pleased to confirm that when April 6 rolls around and Fanfest gets under way, we’ll be releasing footage of an exciting new development in New Eden. Namely, a brand new pilotable ship.
It’s not an ‘official’ part of the Fanfest schedule, but it’s becoming a much-loved part of the annual event among Valkyrie pilots. We are of course talking about the Valhalla meet-up, a pre-Fanfest warm up gathering hosted by Valkyrie community legend General Stargazer.
Whenever human beings embark on a common pursuit – be it gaming, art, business, sport or social media – the participants soon develop their own vernacular to more easily communicate with one another and EVE: Valkyrie is no exception.
Welcome, one and all, to the final part of our triptych of play guides in which we help you to make the most of EVE: Valkyrie’s maps with each of the three ship classes. Having already covered fighters and heavies, it’s now the turn of the oft under-appreciated support class.
It’s hard to believe but EVE: Valkyrie marks its first birthday today. To say we are proud parents would be something of an understatement, so thanks to all our pilots for joining us on this unique and ongoing adventure. We don’t want to be overly self-indulgent, but we couldn’t let our first birthday pass without dedicating a little space to a timeline of the story so far…
You heard us right, a whole week. From 09:00 UTC Tuesday 28 March to 09:00 UTC on Tuesday 4 April, Valkyrie pilots will receive double XP from every mission they fly.
It’s every Valkyrie pilot’s first ship and the one they go back to most often. As the first birthday of EVE: Valkyrie approaches, we thought it was high time this fine figure of shiphood was feted for the services it has rendered to the Valkyrie cause.
We are urgently requesting that any available pilots make their way to the Bleak Lands where a wormhole has opened up. The instability of the wormhole event indicates that there are fewer than 24 hours to travel through it before it collapses, but reports from pilots who have already returned suggest it is crucial we continue to investigate the situation.
Okay, it’s not strictly a ‘date’ as such, but the roster of CCP developers attending the annual Fanfest charity dinner is expanding all the time and Valkyrie fans will be delighted to learn that the latest addition is Andrew Willans, Lead Game Designer on everyone’s fave space dogfighting game.
Just unlocked your first support craft? Quick isn’t it? Vulnerable? Yeah, sure, but flying support is Valkyrie’s best kept secret in terms of gaming satisfaction.
Our dislike of disorder is the reason we’ve been hard at work updating our comprehensive ship guides with all the latest data and information, so that new pilots can get an insight into the hardware they’ll be unlocking over the course of their Valkyrie adventure.
If you want to find out the latest EVE: Valkyrie-related news, the best place to start is right here. However, you can also get alerted to everything that’s happening in New Eden and share your experiences with thousands of other players via social media channels. There’s a whole world of chatter going on out there, so here’s where you can join in.
Last time, ace pilot General Stargazer took us through a few essentials of tackling EVE: Valkyrie’s maps in a fighter. If you want to get up to speed, be sure to check out part one of the guide. This time, the General is getting down to the specifics of each individual map and pointing out areas of interest.
It’s that time of the month when we serve up a nutritious portion of gaming advice via the medium of video. For our latest video tutorial, we’re taking a look at the heavies and more specifically, the Micro Warp Drive (MWD).
Valkyrie pilots who have not already done so are hereby ordered to make their way to wormhole 22A/809-03JB5 , where a battle is raging to take control of the Necropolis site on the other side of the conduit.
EVE Fanfest 2017 is almost here and this year we’re more pumped about it that ever. Quite apart from the fact that we’ll be celebrating EVE Online’s 14th birthday, we’re also super-excited about all the Valkyrie stuff that’ll be happening at the event.
OK, no messing around. This is it. The third and final part of our EVE: Valkyrie A to Z in which we tell you pretty much everything you need to know about the game. First step, let’s go shopping.
Hands up if you’re new to EVE: Valkyrie… Whoa, there are loads of you. Good, then this article is for you (and anyone else who wants a refresher course in the wonderful world of galactic battling in virtual reality). What we have in part two is everything you need to know about the ongoing shenanigans inside and outside of New Eden, this time with a focus on the letters ‘I’ through ‘P’. Let’s start with something cool and refreshing.
What a weird and wonderful month it’s been for Valkyrie pilots. Since EVE: Valkyrie’s major Wormholes update went live on February 15th, our flyers have been experiencing some truly bizarre twists on the regular Valkyrie formula every weekend, with each new wormhole event delivering a twisted new take on New Eden’s environments.
Have you been to the movies recently? Nah, of course not. Why spend time in La La Land when you can hang out in New Eden? In between actually playing the game might we advise that you sit back and relax into a little session of passive video-watching action.
If you’re a freshly minted Valkyrie pilot you may be hearing stuff bandied around that makes absolutely no sense to you right now. Stuff like ‘Fatal’, ‘EMS’ and ‘New Eden’. What better way, then, to get you up to speed than a fully comprehensive A to Z.
It's time for another round of our EVE: Valkyrie challenges. As in previous months, we have three challenges for you. You can attempt any or all of them and we want you to share screens, vids or GIFs of your attempts over on our forums and via Twitter using #EVEValkyrie.
Last time out, we took a look at how best to utilize the heavies on Valkyrie’s maps. This time it’s the turn of the fighters and for this one, we sought the sage advice of our old friend General Stargazer.
Welcome guys and gals and every stripe of Valkyrie pilot in between. March is well under way but allow us to take a glance back at the marvellous month, albeit a short one, that was February. Why? Because we set you a few challenges and to our extreme delight you decided to exclusively take on the most difficult one… namely, pulling off a WOST.
Yes, in New Eden, space pirates and outlaws are a self-serving breed out for fame and fortune. But behind the curtain, out here in the real world, Valkyrie pilots couldn’t be a more lovely bunch of people. In case you missed it, the annual gaming charity event GameBlast17, took place between 24-26th February and this year saw the EVE: Valkyrie community joining in with the fun.
Welcome to the next wave of ProTips features in which we ask some of New Eden’s best pilots to give us the benefit of their knowledge and expertise. In the past we’ve covered how to handle the various ship classes and weapons loadouts, this time we’re going to give you an insight into tackling each and every one of Valkyrie’s six maps from the point of view of a ship specialist.
A new wormhole opens up each week and runs from Friday through to Sunday. Each time you warp to the other side, you will find versions of the regular maps that have been corrupted in some way, with conditions that alter your ship and weapon capabilities. Basically, any player, regardless of ability, will find themselves thrown in at the deep end as they enter the mysterious world of the wormhole. Naturally this throws up a few important questions, so let’s address those right now.
The galaxy we call New Eden has expanded enormously over the past year and now encompasses three VR platforms. In keeping with our tradition of finding out a bit about our pilots we thought we'd turn next to PSVR in seeking out folks who are actively making the EVE: Valkyrie community such a vibrant and rewarding place to inhabit. On this occasion we speak to PSVR pilot and streamer, Shiny.
Every once in a while we like to take a look-see at what our pilots have been up to in New Eden, so this time it’s the turn of the PSVR players who have been sharing their experiences via PS4Share and YouTube. Keep it coming people, this stuff is priceless.
EVE: Valkyrie isn’t just about becoming the greatest pilot in New Eden, although clearly that is the ultimate achievement. The game provides a different experience for every individual who plays it. In a sense you take out of New Eden what you bring to it. So let’s examine the types of people who play EVE: Valkyrie and why they spend their time in New Eden.
Got a PS4? Got a PSVR? Got a copy of EVE: Valkyrie? The answer to all of the above, if you are reading this, is almost certainly ‘yes’. However, given that’s the case we want to reach out to you, our PlayStation pilots, and ask you to work with us.
Anyone who played EVE: Valkyrie’s new Wormhole Mode last weekend won’t be reading this, they’ll already be strapping themselves into the cockpit and crossing the conduit to a new and unique Valkyrie experience. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of entering a wormhole, allow us to briefly explain what you’re missing out on.
Check out EVE: Valkyrie's Recall missions. They’re short but sweet, giving you a little bit of the history behind the game, while also introducing you to some of the play mechanics. The best thing about them is that they give you some insight into the battle raging in New Eden, so by playing them, you experience much more emotional investment in your subsequent battles.
How did you enjoy the opening of the very first EVE: Valkyrie wormhole? Judging by the amount of people charging through the conduit over the course of the wormhole’s existence, we’d say it’s been pretty well received.
The ranks of the Valkyrie continue to swell daily, with more and more rookie pilots launching into New Eden all the time. However, many of these newcomers (and indeed more experienced players) are missing out on some of the finest Valkyrie action you can have outside your headset.
What a wonderful week it’s been. We are thrilled at the positive response to Wormholes, our latest major EVE: Valkyrie update. One of the many cool additions included in the update is a raft of changes to the training mode in the game. We invited designer Emily Knox (aka CCP Starbug) to tell us more about what rookie pilots can look forward to at bootcamp.
Needless to say, Wormholes mode is a fascinating addition to New Eden, no? That said, the future of EVE: Valkyrie may be more fundamentally rocked by the introduction of the League system. Have you checked ou
Prepare yourself for some extreme weirdness. We are enormously excited to announce that our latest major EVE: Valkyrie update, Wormholes, is now live. As well as delivering a whole new game mode, there’s a raft of other stuff included in the update, so let’s take a quick look at what’s on offer.
Creating an online multi-player VR game as complex as EVE: Valkyrie is no simple task so with the upcoming Wormholes update and the changes to Com Alerts, it’s a good time to go into a little more detail on the crucial feedback we get from our community of players.
EVE Fanfest, the huge annual event at which EVE Online gamers and developers get together in Reykjavik, Iceland for a big celebration, is mere weeks away. We are delighted to announce that once again CCP Newcastle and EVE: Valkyrie will be there.
In the real world people like to give their cars nicknames like The Tank, Little Miss Deathtrap and in more famous instances Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Herbie. Some look down on the practice, dismissing it as mawkish sentimentality, but we’re all for it. Especially when it comes to the naming of our very own Valkyrie ships.
Given that it’s a mere four days until EVE: Valkyrie’s amazing new Wormholes update launches, we thought now might be a good time to set the record straight regarding wormholes and how they fit into the EVE Universe.
It gives me great pleasure to introduce the first of our 2017 game updates for EVE: Valkyrie – Wormholes. Fresh from winter holidays, the team here at Newcastle have been busy creating a range of incredible new features and improvements.
In yesterday’s article we looked at the world of science fiction movies and how EVE: Valkyrie is building on that great body of work. Today we turn our attention briefly to games, and more fundamentally, sci-fi literature to celebrate the art that has inspired Valkyrie’s enthusiastic team of VR explorers.
Science fiction has long been a mainstay of popular fiction, cinema and videogames. In some (dare we say, ignorant) quarters it’s seen as pure entertainment, simply an author’s flight of fancy speculating on cool future technology and bizarre alien civilisations. But at its best, science fiction is an exploration of the human condition, what makes us tick, the constant urge to find answers and the sometimes terrible consequences of our actions in the face of the unknown. EVE: Valkyrie is no exception.
We had such a great response to our New Year Challenge that we thought, what the heck, we’ll run one every month. This month we have some corkers for you. The challenges can be pretty tough but no matter what your level of expertise, we still want to see how well you did in the attempt.
OK, so that heading is a little misleading. We’re not talking an entire musical based on EVE: Valkyrie here, but rather the upcoming creation of a fan-made Valkyrie theme song.
Are you a new Valkyrie pilot? If the answer is ‘yes’, have you joined our official forums yet? If the answer to that is ‘no’ we would urge you to do so right now. Quite apart from the forums being a place of lively debate, shared experience, gossip and gameplay advice, they're also an area where the Valkyrie community can get together and just generally be nice to one another.
The new year in New Eden has started with a bang and January has been an exciting month for Valkyrie pilots, many of whom are just getting to grips with the game after bagging their VR kit over the holiday period. To get you up to speed we thought it would be fun to take you through some of the cool stuff we’ve been talking about over the past 30 days.
We wouldn’t normally flag up a single 30 second vid but this one refers back to a Pro Tips article we ran a few days ago. Plus, it’s awesome. Check out the footage of the hard-to-achieve ‘Warp One-Shot Takedown’ or 'WOST'.
So here it is, the third and final guide to flying the various ship classes on the new Gateway map. This time around we’ll be taking a look at Support Class. Your host will be Anska, an ace Valkyrie pilot who’s a popular member of the community and whose support skills are legendary.
Even if you’ve only just entered New Eden, you’re probably already aware that there are six main multi-player maps to do battle in, each of them taking its inspiration from locations in CCP Games’ MMORPG EVE Online. It’s perhaps a useful and informative exercise to introduce you to each of the maps, where they're located in New Eden, add a little bit of EVE history to the mix and offer some insights in what to expect from each environment.
For the second in our series of ‘Versus’ guides we turn to another of New Eden’s finest pilots, Nydwen. He specializes in the piloting of heavy class ships so who better to impart advice on how to take on support ships when flying a heavy?
Hello again rookies. It’s time for another one of our mini masterclasses in which we impart some wisdom on the art of battle to those just beginning their Valkyrie adventure. Any experienced pilot will tell you there’s no shame in hiding from your enemy when it’s prudent to do so. Indeed, the use of cover is a crucial aspect of gameplay to be mastered if you want to enjoy success on a regular basis.
At the start of the new year we gave you the EVE: Valkyrie New Year Challenge featuring a bunch of tough tasks to complete and we must say, we are mightily impressed by some of the action you’ve sent us so far.
Welcome to the second part of our feature exploring the ways in which the CCP Newcastle team went about creating and honing EVE: Valkyrie into the balanced multi-player, multi-mode dogfighting experience it is today.
Attempting to develop an online multi-player videogame on any platform is no slight task. Thanks to more than a decade of experience in doing so with EVE Online, the team here at CCP Games is in a stronger position to do so than most. But when it came to EVE: Valkyrie and the brave new world of virtual reality we were faced with a whole new set of challenges.
We’re already aware that our EVE: Valkyrie pilots are a passionate group but some of them have gone the extra mile and put themselves through the ordeal of having needles stuck in their skin to celebrate their love of the Valkyrie.
Who could have guessed that the hard-bitten pilot who ‘offs’ Guristas without a second thought each and every evening during epic EVE: Valkyrie sessions can be found, the very next day, donning an apron and getting covered in flour and crumbs as they conjure up all manner of delicious Valkyrie-themed baked goods?
It’s time, once again, to meet one of New Eden’s most familiar faces. On this occasion, it’s ace pilot Anska. She’s an avid flyer, a specialist in support class ships, an active member of the EVE: Valkyrie community and a maker of chocolatey Spider Bot cakes made entirely of confectionary.
Like a chat-up line in a romantic situation, depending on how and when you deploy your missiles they can be devastatingly effective and seal the deal or utterly useless and leave you vulnerable and feeling like an idiot.
If we learned anything from 2016 it’s that EVE Online and EVE: Valkyrie players are bubbling over with enthusiasm and work hard to maintain a vibrant community and busy schedule of EVE-related, fan-organised events.
We know we certainly had a great time over the holidays and it would seem our PlayStation VR-owning pilots did too. Via the magic of PS4Share they’ve been posting a host of highlights of their new kit and their time in New Eden.
EVE: Valkyrie’s latest map, Gateway, is proving to be something of a hit with the pilots of New Eden. If you’re new to the game you might want a few tips on how best to exploit this complex and deeply satisfying environment. We asked ace Valkyrie pilot General Stargazer to give us the lowdown on taking on the Gateway map with fighter class ships.
Welcome to our first pilot profile of 2017. On this occasion we’re pinging a few questions in the direction of Gigai, an experienced Valkyrie pilot who makes an enormous contribution to the community as the curator of Valkyrie fansite The Crow’s Nest and a wiki guide.
Even if you only recently joined the ranks of the Valkyrie over the holiday period you’ve now had a decent amount of flying hours to polish those piloting moves so it’s time to put your skillz to the test.
Are you new to EVE: Valkyrie? Wondering what that picture of a kick-ass guitar is doing there? If so we would urge you to head over to our official Forums and get yourself an account immediately. Yes, yes, we know you would rather be playing the game instead but there are three extremely compelling reasons to get yourself signed up.
It’s always nice to start a new year with good intentions and a snappy new outfit. Both in the real world and in EVE: Valkyrie nothing sets you on the right path like being freshly suited and booted. Maybe now is the time to take advantage of Valkyrie’s new pilot customization options.
2016 has been an exhilarating time for those of us lucky enough to be inhabitants of New Eden. The Valkyrie family just keeps getting bigger and bigger so now is, we think, the perfect time to take a look back at an amazing year.
It’s at this time of year that many people like to reflect on their behaviour over the previous 12 months and vow to make a few adjustments for the better. It’s a fine sentiment, so we thought we might do the same and ask you, our beloved pilots, to do likewise.
As we segue into a new year, it seems appropriate to put our pilots’ Valkyrie knowledge to the test. Try out our quiz and discover whether you are one of Valkyrie’s best or a work-in-progress.
A substantial part of what makes EVE: Valkyrie such a joy to be part of is the passionate and active player community that has built up around the game. As we rush headlong into 2017, we wanted to share with you some of the amazing video contributions our pilots have been making since the game’s launch.
We’re going to take a wild stab in the dark and guess you’re reading this because you got some tasty new VR hardware and EVE: Valkyrie over the holidays... are we right? If so, you need to be properly equipped to enter the brave new universe of New Eden and join the ranks of the Valkyrie.
Today’s the day that all the planets are in alignment and you can get a whopping 33% off EVE: Valkyrie regardless of which VR platform you are playing on.
He’s one of the most active members – and best pilots – in the EVE: Valkyrie community. He’s a regular streamer and contributor to the forums and if you ever attend a public event with a Valkyrie presence you’ll almost certainly bump into him. Welcome QuantumDelta.
Experienced players will already know about salvage and its usefulness in EVE: Valkyrie, but for newcomers, it’s worth outlining exactly what it is and why you should be interested in it.
In case you’ve only just joined the ranks of the Valkyrie and missed our previous announcement, we are currently giving away an exclusive Sanguine Paint Job to anyone who plays the game from now up until 3rd January.
OK, we confess. This article won’t help you to build an ‘actual’ warp gate, but it will give you some intriguing insights into CCP Newcastle’s thinking when they designed EVE: Valkyrie’s cool new Gateway map. We managed to corner level designer Emily Knox (aka CCP Starbug) and extract some information from her.
It’s less than two weeks since the new Gateway map went live but already New Eden’s finest pilots are getting to grips with this fascinating, and somewhat chilly, new environment. We spoke to ace pilot Nydwen who specializes in heavy craft to find out how best to use Valkyrie’s heavy artillery in the new map.
It’s always fascinating to see where our community of space pirates came from and what led them to become the galaxy’s hottest combatants, and this time we are chatting to none other than Nydwen. He’s a regular contributor to the Valkyrie community and has in the past brought us his invaluable guide to handling heavy class ships.
Here at CCP Newcastle we find ourselves immensely blessed with a community of passionate, enthusiastic and creative fans for all our games, and that includes EVE: Valkyrie despite the game only being out in the wild for less than a year. Here's a chance to win a prize for your creativity.
When you’re not arranging a deep-space dust-up with friends we would urge you to take a little time to explore the Daily Challenges as there are several very good reasons to do so. Let’s take a look.
Welcome to the latest in our ongoing series of play guides in which one of New Eden’s foremost Valkyrie pilots imparts his wisdom to our newer recruits. In fact this one kicks off a whole new raft of guides we’ll be bringing to you over the coming weeks and months covering the best way to handle yourself when fighting a specific class of opponent.
Back in October at the annual EVE Vegas event held at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino, the inaugural Tournament of Champions took place in which ace EVE: Valkyrie pilots from around the globe teamed up to battle it out with the winning team romping home with, among other things, a mighty GeForce GTX Titan X GPU.
How do you go about creating a 3D environment in sound using only a set of headphones and more pertinently, how do you make it robust enough to sound convincing when the player is free to move in every direction? We caught up with Ashley Read (aka CCP Sine), the man responsible for all the ear candy in EVE: Valkyrie to find out what he was up against.
The Gatecrash update has literally ‘gatecrashed’ the Valkyrie party and you can download it now. Here are four rock-solid reasons why you should do so.
The Gatecrash update is live and our faithful EVE: Valkyrie pilots finally get the chance to explore our new Gateway map. To celebrate the Gatecrash update we’ve arranged for one of our Double XP Weekend events to run from Friday December 9 to Monday December 12.
Tomorrow’s the big day, pilots. The new Gatecrash update goes live and you get to try out the new Gateway map for the first time. You’ll no doubt have already had a look at the new trailer but we thought we’d show you a few individual features of the new map so you can start to build your battling strategies in advance of the launch.
Don’t even think about having an early night tonight. There’s a galactic event occurring this evening that you simply won’t want to miss. It's a live stream from the huge PlayStation Experience 2016 event that’s taking place in Anaheim, California all this weekend.
As December is now in full swing we thought it a good time to pluck another victim from his day job and place him in the role of a Valkyrie pilot. The reason we are doing it is to find out if that person’s real world career has prepared them in any way for space combat.
We love our EVE: Valkyrie pilots. Not only do you loyal outlaws zip around New Eden causing havoc, but you also seem to be able to find the time to share your experiences with the rest of the community.
As we enter the first week of December it’s worth noting that this is a thrilling time for EVE: Valkyrie players in general and, when it comes to this weekend, PlayStation gamers in particular.
If you are a relatively new pilot and you and your online buddies are struggling to notch up the victories in team play, perhaps we can bring you a quantum of solace in the form of some top tips from one of the best pilots in the EVE: Valkyrie universe, Quantum Delta.

It’s that time again when one of our best EVE: Valkyrie pilots gets dragged out blinking into the spotlight as we fire a bunch of questions at them. This time it’s a chap called SuperKev who, if you’ve spent any time on the Valkyrie forums, will almost certainly be familiar to you.

The first is a slick paint job for your ships and the second is the opportunity to rack up a load of extra XP.

Valkyrie pilot Wan5 is currently ranked number one in the world and recently helped his team, the Invaders, romp home with victory in the Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas. Who better, then, to tell us all about how to squad up and start pulling in those victories.
Due to a potential issue with our marquee feature which controls our new controller remapping, we feel that it is necessary to postpone Patch (2016_R5.4) which was due to be deployed today in order to insure the feature runs as smoothly as possible once available. The EVE: Valkyrie team want to ensure that each release is deployed with the best player experience at the forefront of our goals and as such we will delay this patch by a few days in order to optimize this feature for release.
Following our shout out to PlayStation VR EVE: Valkyrie players after the game's October 13 launch, we’re pleased to see there’s no shortage of space-based love for the game going on in the Twittersphere.
If you’re a recent recruit to the ranks of the Valkyrie (yes, we’re looking at you PlayStation VR pilots) you might not have realized that there’s more than one virtual reality game based in the EVE Universe.
Wow what an amazing spooky selection of entries we had in the Halloween decoration and spooky snacks contest! To judge a competition of this caliber we brought in CCP Bosun (CCP Newcastle baker extraordinaire) and CCP T-Shark (decorations expert) to help judge. We debated for a while but in the end the winners are....

Would-be players of EVE: Valkyrie on PSVR must be going through a rollercoaster ride of emotions right now, with itchy trigger fingers, the sweat of anticipation beading down their furrowed brows and little idea of what to expect even when the game does arrive on 13 October.
