Would-be players of EVE: Valkyrie on PSVR must be going through a rollercoaster ride of emotions right now, with itchy trigger fingers, the sweat of anticipation beading down their furrowed brows and high expectations for when the game arrives on 13 October. We imagine it’s pretty close to experience of real-world pilots sitting around in a state of uncertainty, not at all sure what to expect from their next sortie!
Prospective PlayStation VR pilots, however, can rest easy. We can officially confirm EVE: Valkyrie on Sony’s VR platform is every bit as exhilarating as it is on the Oculus Rift.
PSVR has a marginally lower resolution headset, it’s true, but it’s all the more remarkable just how much parity there is between this and the Rift version. The environments are detailed with solid frame rates and sharp head tracking giving you precisely the same complete sense of immersion that Rift players have been enjoying since the PC launch back in March.
