Intrepid pilots - all good things come to an end, even to the immortal Valkyries. Today, we have begun the process of discontinuing support for EVE: Valkyrie to focus CCP Games' efforts and resources on new developments in our evolving portfolio of EVE Universe titles.

We are incredibly proud of what we accomplished with EVE: Valkyrie and its Warzone expansion and want to extend our deep appreciation to all our players for their support throughout the game's lifecycle. It is an honor to have been a part of such a dedicated community.

For the time being, you won't see any effect if you own a copy of the game. The game will continue to be playable with our servers remaining active until August 5th 2022.

On August 5th 2022, EVE: Valkyrie's servers will be turned off, social media profiles will be closed, and this website will go offline. Once servers are deactivated, customer support for EVE: Valkyrie will no longer be provided.

Thank you for being a part of EVE: Valkyrie. We look forward to the next chapter in the EVE Universe and hope you'll be a part of it and continue the journey with us.

Hello Pilots,

This Wednesday EVE: Valkyrie will receive a small patch (2017_R1.1) containing a reset for the EVE: Valkyrie League Alpha, and many performance improvements and bug fixes.

Feature Reset: EVE: Valkyrie League Alpha

As part of our continuing work on the Valkyrie Leagues Alpha, we’ve taken your feedback on board and updated our League score calculation. With this update, all current League scores will be reset, and we’ll need players to take some time playing PvP matches while the new League calculations get to work.

This feature is still in Alpha, and we’re committed to using your feedback to help us keep improving it, so please do keep an eye on your new League score as it progresses and let us know your thoughts!

In addition to our work on the Alpha Leagues feature, we have a range of improvements for matchmaking, general game play and various bug fixes listed below:

Matchmaking Improvements (from CCP Bosun):

In order to give our players the best possible experience, we are making some changes in order to help you guys get straight into combat, offering more immediate action in battles with more players:

  • Carrier Assault Only mode select removed from Match Setup.

Carrier Assault was our first major free update back in June 2016 and it will continue to be a combat favourite as part of the ‘All Modes’ section. This change will ensure our players are match-made into more populated matches, as we previously divided players who selected Carrier Assault Only and those who were playing Carrier Assault as part of an ‘All modes’ playlist.

  • Reduced the time where a match is not joinable

Previously a match would not let a player join if there was less than 2 minutes of a match remaining, this has now been decreased to 1 minute remaining, increasing your chances of finding a player-populated match We feel that making these changes will help players to have the best time as quickly as possible– playing in more populated battles with no delay, with a great mix of content.

Performance Improvements:

Our coders have also been working hard on improving performance in specific areas, these are listed below:

  • Performance improvements when using the Maelstrom mortar
  • Performance improvements during Wormholes gameplay
  • Performance improvements during Test Arena gameplay
  • Performance improvements when loading into the Clone VAT
  • Performance improvements while near the Carriers in Carrier Assault
  • Performance improvements after quitting Basic Training during the New Player Experience

Gameplay Improvements/ Bug fixes:

  • Improvements to the main menu icon selection
  • Controller disconnect message doesn’t appear when HOTAS is connected
  • Bug fix to prevent the Buff Beam instantly depleting a friendly target’s shields
  • Bug fix where applied ship skins and decals weren’t appearing correctly in the hangar preview
  • Bug fix for AI bot Kalene’s helmet not loading correctly in the Clone Vat

General Audio Bug Fixes:

And last but certainly not least, the audio team have made various improvements and bug fixes for this patch too, these changes are listed below:

  • Bug fix for ambience audio in the Wormhole lobby cutting out
  • Improvements to dialogue clarity in the Prologue mission
